These courses are being submitted for accreditation through the International Coaching Federation, ICF. Also, Miranda is part of a research team studying coaching, team-effectiveness, team growth-mindset, and team creativity at TAMU.
Currently, Dr. Walichowski coaches at the Doerr Institute for New Leaders at Rice University. At Doerr, Miranda delivers coaching for leadership development via individual coaching and group coaching. She has also facilitated leadership catalyst modules. She was selected as one of Doerr’s five coaches to pilot leadership development through coaching at the United States Military Academy West Point in Fall 2019.
Dr. Walichowski developed the MiraNous Institute for Leaders in Education (MILE). MILE has provided leadership development through group and individual coaching as part of the Accelerated Preparation of Leaders for Underserved Schools (A-Plus) grant, component 5 (Turnaround). A-Plus is a project funded by the U.S. Department of Education for $13.36 million to build educational leaders’ instructional capacity who work with diverse learners (grant PI is Dr. Beverly Irby.)
Dr. Walichowski admires and enjoys working with those who respond to the call to “sharpen and refine themselves to become instruments of greater, meaningful contribution.” During this Pandemic, she realizes that everyone (individuals, groups, and teams) can benefit from development through coaching.
On a personal note, Miranda is married to John Walichowski, MiraNous Business Manager, and they have five children. Miranda is always seeking two things in life, growth in all areas and the energy needed to refine and sharpen herself as an instrument of meaningful contribution for her family, clients, and students. This has lead her to a new journey as a competitive powerlifter. Powerlifting appealed to her because the sport requires developing a strong mind needed to conquer limiting beliefs and fears.
